2 ½ MONTHS!

You are growing fast Anton Lee Thomas! When we went to the paediatrician 2 weeks ago, you already weighed 4.1 kg and measured 55 centimetres (about 22 inches). You are no longer a newborn fragile little pebble … you are now our huggable, squeezable, adorable belluzzo.

2.5 months

You had your second set of shots two weeks ago. You’ve had your DTaP (contains diphtheria and tetanus toxoids and an acellular pertussis/whooping cough vaccine), IPV (polio vaccine), and Hib (vaccine aimed at thwarting the hemophilus influenza) as well as your second dose of Hepatitis b vaccine. You quickly amused yourself looking at the toys at the pediatrician’s clinic and when the doctor gave you the shot, you cried once and quickly settled down. We carefully watched you the next 24 hours and we were relieved that you took the vaccines without any adverse reaction.

Mommy has gone back to work two weeks ago. Sorry belluzzo, Mommy has to wake you up early. She wants to bathe and feed you before she leaves home. We both sleep in during weekends.

You still wake generally twice during the night. You have a habit of smiling after feeding that Mommy can’t help playing with you a bit before she sends you back to bed.

We have also increased your milk intake from 2 ounces to 2.5 ounces every 2 hours. Your lola, who stayed with us the first week Mommy went back to work, has noticed that you are still quite hungry after each feeding. She was right. Since we’ve increased the volume of your milk, you have ceased screaming after having your milk.

You are now starting to slowly crawl. You can raise your head now while on your tummy and can move yourself 360 degrees. You are also learning to grasp things. You can now hold your toy zebra for brief periods.

Your favourite toys the past two weeks: Giraffe and Penguin, who can give Vanilla Ice a run for his money.
