Anton Lee @ 1.9

You are learning the finer things now -

Dine with friends.
Eat with a fork and spoon.
Drink from a cup.
Wipe your mouth with a serviette.

Very soon, you will have impeccable table manners.

Or maybe not that soon yet.

Just when we thought you've gotten it -
We find you smearing your hair with your yoghurt.
Or making a moustache of the nutella from your breakfast.

Mommy has learned to ease up.

Mommy even allows you now to watch a little TV.
(Daddy thinks that familiarizing yourself with the rudiments of the AFL (and Port Power!) are essential parts of your education.

It is like walking on a tightrope -
We are starting you on the road to good habits and self discipline
But we also try to keep in mind that you will only be little once.

Each night before you sleep, after our bedtime reading and prayers,
Mommy asks you, "Did you have fun today?"
You say, "Yes".
(we know you really mean it when you say "yes" because your favorite phrase is "no, no")
And that spells all the difference.

  1. Hello, Anton! You and Ezra share the fondness for "no, no" :)

  2. And why is it they learn "yes" so much later?
